Hi, thanks for taking a look, up for your consideration is a Rolf Elan Aero Road wheelset. These wheels excel at climbing and racing, but are also great just for on a regular basis fast rides as well. I bought them used in 2013 and have put probably 150 miles on them. I had them saved for a bike that I used to be building, but a time consuming job kept me from getting around to it until earlier this year. They’re great wheels, but I have a couple of wheelsets too many and prefer the Rolf Vigor wheels instead. Honestly, this is probably because I’m out of shape and don’t wish to be doing very much climbing when I ride, so I’ve been going on flatter rides where I think the Vigors can excel a little be more, plus I’m shallow and think they look cooler, although They’re heavier. The Elan Aero wheelset is pretty quick on the flats though and does have bladed spokes and a taller rim than many other climbing specific wheels. The bearings are super smooth and the wheels coast end over end. I like the freehub that ticks when you coast, but I also think it encourages you to keep pedaling too. The freehub is titanium and is in excellent condition, in the pictures there’s just a few residual grease from the cassette I used that was once recently taken off. I haven’t taken them in to see if They’re true, but I did not notice anything on my rides.
