Up for auction is a Mavic R-SYS Wheelset. This is the revered wheel that used to be spec’d on my Cannondale SuperSix Evo. I only rode the bike for a short while before selling the frame and putting the Di2 on my Specialized with carbon wheels. These wheels feature:
Mavic R-SYS SLR Wheelset TraComp Maxtal Aluminum lightly used
SSC Rim technology
Mavic’s SUP joint
ISM machined braking surface
TraComp Spoke Technology resists compression and traction for superior stiffness
22mm front and 25mm rear rim depths for maximum aerodynamics
1370 grams per pair (605 front and 765 rear)
They have only 3000 miles on them and will come with a brand spanking new set of Kenda Kountach 700 x 25c tires and Specialized tubes. A Shimano free hub body will accommodate 10 or 11 speed cassettes. There are 20 spokes on the rear with radially laced Carbon Fiber spokes on the non-drive side that are what Mavic claims give the wheel superior stiffness since the nature of carbon fiber is to withstand both traction and compression. The front wheel has 18 radially laced Zircal spokes and a carbon fiber hub shell. They’ll come in a position to ride with the Mavic skewers. The only flaw is a small ding on one of the crucial sidewalls of the rear rim. I did my best to photograph it with and without tires. This used to be caused by debris in the road that wasn’t referred to as out all the way through a group ride. The rim is still as true as it used to be on day one and it has no effect on the braking surface or holding the tire bead. These are great wheels and I have thought to be holding on to them for riding on hilly or windy days. They climb great and are super responsive on acceleration.
Feel free to ask any questions regarding this terrific set of wheels and please NO international buyers. Happy Bidding!
